Warranty & Repair Policy

1. Warranty Policy

a. 2-Year Limited Warranty

Covers manufacturing or material defects on the original cable and connectors for two years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase required. No registration required.

b. Lifetime Limited Warranty (Upgrade)

Available to any customer who registers within 30 days of purchase. Covers manufacturing defects for the original purchaser's lifetime. Upon registration you also receive 10% off your next RiverWire cable.

 

To register, email register@riverwirecables.com with:

1. Your full name

2. Cable Serial Number (from your charm)

3. Date of purchase

4. Reliable phone number

5. Your shipping address (so we know where to send replacements or repaired cables)

 

c. Exclusions & Conditions

• Warranty applies only to manufacturing or material defects.

• Does not cover damage from misuse, abuse, or normal wear and tear.

• Original purchaser must supply the serial number. Keep your charm or registration confirmation.

• RiverWire reserves the right to inspect any returned cable before approving a warranty claim.

 

2. Repair & Replacement Services

Intake & Consultation

All repair requests must be submitted and approved before any cable is shipped to us.

1. Contact us at Admin@riverwirecables.com

2. Complete the Return & Repair Consultation Form (PDF). Requires: serial number, description of damage, date of damage, and photos.

3. We will reply with your options and costs before you ship.

 

• Customer pays postage to send the cable in.

• RiverWire covers return shipping back to the customer.

 

Service Menu

1. Cosmetic Jacket Repair — $5 flat

Seals small gouges or nicks in the outer jacket using liquid tape and/or heat-shrink. Founding customers receive free cosmetic repairs for life.

2. Connector Replacement — $5 labor + parts cost

Remove old connector, strip and tin cable end, solder on new connector, reapply strain relief and heat-shrink. Optional connector upgrade available under the same cost-plus structure.

 

"Unfit Cable" Clause

If swapping in a new connector would make the cable too short due to damaged length removal, we will notify you before proceeding. You may:

• Approve the shortened length and proceed, or

• Receive 10% off the same model or 15% off a higher-tier model as a replacement.

 

3. Returns & Exchanges

Because every RiverWire cable is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges except in the following circumstances:

• The cable arrived damaged or defective (covered under warranty — see Section 1).

• The wrong item was shipped due to our error.

 

If either applies, contact us through the contact form at riverwirecables.com within 14 days of delivery. Do not ship anything back without prior approval. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

 

We stand behind every cable that leaves the forge. If something isn't right, we will make it right.
