Who We Are & What We Stand For

We are a fantasy lore driven brand that also happens to be a cable company. We are dreamers and adventurers who felt it was long overdue in an industry inspired by art itself.

RiverWire is a place. A mystical forge in the peaks above The Vale — a realm distant from your own. The concept is simple: you bring us items from your quests, we use them to forge you a cable with a piece of our world and a piece of yours.

Take The Sentinel. Receiving that cable means you crossed swords with a certain dangerous creature in our realm, claimed the iron corrupted by its cursed blade, and brought it to the forge. We harnessed that and built it into the cable you now hold. (Each cable's listing page holds its lore.)

That's what every relic here is. Finally a piece of gear with an entire storyworld behind it — not just another transaction.

Not a gamer or fantasy fan? No problem. The lore is completely optional. You can simply shop what we stand behind as the best cables at several price points — each one outperforming anything else in its class. Enjoy a friendly experience with no "pro," "platinum," or "tour grade" tiers, no tone buzzwords — just honest, reliable cables built to last.

Now that you know what we are — here's what we stand for.

Our stance on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing). We are not buying one single type of bulk mystery or custom milled cable, stamping our name on it and selling it to you over and over in different colors and covers (cheaper product, bigger margins for us).

Instead we tracked down the best raw wire from companies with decades of proven research and development and, when available, we tell you exactly what's inside every single one. No sleight of hand.

Maybe we'll do an OEM product line one day. But only with extreme transparency, with a trusted manufacturer, and only if we can engineer something truly worth your time and money. Not before.

The $15 Amazon cable?

Real answer: the wire is probably totally fine. The issue is everything around it — unbranded connectors with no published specs, no traceable quality control, and no way of knowing how they were made or what they're made from. Even a quality known connector soldered together by an underpaid rushed worker or a machine that never looks twice is a risk.
