Why Us

When you need new windshield wipers, you don’t buy the marked up ones at the dealership — you get the better, sometimes even cheaper pair from the auto store.
When you need a phone case, you skip the boring overpriced options at the service provider and grab the cooler, tougher one online.

Why? Because more products than you think are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) meaning someone makes a generic product for companies to put their logo on and sell it as their own. Some are transparent about it and some try to make you believe its a premium product purely because their name is on it. It's an easy way to make money and has been forever.

Because of the internet, we’re all informed consumers now.
We know when we’re being upsold.
We know that boutique sometimes just means overpriced.

We know that “premium” doesn’t always mean the best quality.

Instead of the OEM route, all of our products are curated from trusted brands we used personally over the years and we will tell you all the specs we can about them.

 Where This All Comes From

Ever since we were kids, whenever we needed a new cable, we’d walk into a music store and think:
“For this price, I could totally make something better than this.”
Maybe it wouldn’t look as cool and packaged professionally — but it’d work, and it’d be ours.

After years of trial and error, testing, making money, wasting money, and eventually learning why some cables hold up and others don’t —
we finally made something better.
And honestly?
We think they look pretty darn cool, too.

But don’t get us wrong — this whole DIY Better mindset isn’t about constant skepticism, poking holes in everything, or treating every product like a scam.
We all know that type of person — and it’s miserable.
There are no egos here. No superiority. No “Congratulations, you earned my follow” type cringe.

As healthy skeptics, we give credit where credit is due.
And when something’s great, the only response that feels right is: thank you.
